Minigun Strafings:

Here's what I did, might work some other way, I'm not sure about what it is keeping track:

First Okarin got on a chopper and then strafing 6 times, took 2 turns I think. Then Reigna, from the ground, hit it for the damage specified above. Then Aewyre strafing 6 times. Then Feathergod, like Reigna hit twice for about 1500 damage. Then Aewyre strafinged 5 times. Then Feathergod hit until I saw the "unsteady walk" pace. Then Aewyre dealt 4 strafings and back to Feathergod who killed it.

Again, I dunno what does it track, but I noticed that the first hit from the ground after strafing those numbers had a special attack with little or no damage. Also, I didn't see any confusion messages but I didn't pay attention while strafing. Hopefully if Cristiona's theory works she might be able to tell what is going on. Managed to get a second onesie by replicating the above strategy, records are:

Got the onesie again today following the same strategy except for the fact that my first air unit had flying ability so it seems that at least for those starting in the air is not a problem. Also, I saw at least 2 confusion messages so I guess those are unrelated to the trigger. Patojonas 06:59, 18 November 2012 (PST)

On my main's league, we believe we followed the strategy correctly but it didn't drop. Either its not a guaranteed drop (which i doubt once the conditions are met), we did something wrong or my alts have been following some kind of requirement by default I haven't noticed :/ Patojonas 15:09, 18 November 2012 (PST)

PFE tried some new stuff today to no avail. We had one person strafe, and immediately another person would attack, then the same person strafes and the same person alternates and so forth until the end of the turn. Then we had people switch in for the roles of strafing and attacking, so everyone attacked and everyone strafed atleast once. However several of us were using flying transportation and this probably affected the outcome.

Just did it with 3 players:
Minigun Strafings:
Okarin fired 19.
Damage:

Today, with the usual strategy I messed up and the 2nd air unit normal attacked once, dealing ~130 weapon damage. The onesie still dropped. Patojonas (talk) 07:26, 5 December 2012 (PST)

Strategy

• The following battle strategy worked several times, starting from the ground:

1st air unit strafed 8 times, then run away. *(might be worth dealing additional strafs to do at least 1000 damage)

1st ground unit attacked for a total of roughly 3500-3700 damage, in our setting doing ~300-500 damage per hit.

2nd air unit strafed 10 times, then run away.

2nd ground unit attacked for a total of ~3000-3200 damage, similar damage as the 1st.

2nd air unit strafed 4 times, then run away. *(on my alts league it died here and still got the onesie)

2nd ground unit attacked until it died, in our case 1 turn was enough.

Depending on the damage accumulated, you might have to adjust the number of strafs in step 5 in order to have the 2nd ground player 1 hit kill it.
Trying to make it so no player deals more than 4000 damage has been proved as not strictly necessary but helpful helpful.
Still don't know what the actual trigger is.

So far we know:

• air units can start with flying ability;
• air units have been observed dealing weapon damage (small amount) and it still dropped;
• so far never dropped when ground units strafed, even if they didn't weapon attack from the air;
• a minimum of 3 players managed to get it;
