Dr. Somnus |
---|
You are fighting Dr. Somnus.
In the world of super villains, there's the egotistical, the maniacal, the completely bonkers; there's a million flavors of villainy out there.
Dr. Somnus doesn't exactly fit the normal classifications. She's more the "meant to do well and slowly corrupted" combined with the "science unbound by any sort of ethics". Of course, that doesn't make her any less dangerous.
You should probably keep your eyes on that watch though, like she said... I mean, you just thought because you're so smart. Just keep your eyes on the watch... the watch...
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- Dr. Somnus swings her watch over your head, like she's trying to hypnotize you. Pfft, like that'd ever work.
The doctor's watch keeps on swinging. The Nostronomian sleepzaps you for X (electric) damage.
The doctor's watch keeps on swinging. She convinces the Nostronomian to give you X (electric) damage worth of electroconvulsive therapy.
The doctor's watch keeps on swinging. You find yourself punching yourself... and not in a sweet Mirror, Mirror sort of way, in a painful X damage sort of way.
The doctor's watch keeps on swinging. You're getting sleepy... sleepy... sleee...py. You dream you fell on the floor and took X damage.
She hits you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! She hits you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- Dr. Somnus swings her watch while filling you in on the inmates daily lives, carefully observing doctor-patient confidentiality. Huh, apparently even villains have some standards.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! She takes X damage.
Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
You gain 500 experience.
You got an item: the watch of Dr. Somnus (Guaranteed Drop)
Dr. Somnus tosses her watch over your shoulder. Your eyes involuntarily follow it. When you turn back, she's gone.
Well, it's probably for the best anyway. If you turned her over to the police, they'd have just put her here anyway.
At least the Nostronomian should be free of her power now. As it slowly comes out of the haze it apologizes roughly ten billion times (thankfully Nostronomian's logarithmic) and explains it'll be giving up heroing, instead setting up a store like it's ancestors.
