You are fighting a malevolent paraffin blob.
Paraffin is supposed to be like a chemistry lab superhero, protecting you from noxious chemicals and generally surviving anything. Unfortunately, it seems this particular paraffin met its one weakness: fire.
At some point in this process, it turned towards evil and is now rampaging through the lab.
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- Nothing stops the paraffin blob from hitting you with its waxy pseudopod.
- The blob flicks molten paraffin on you, which isn't really that bad, so it grabs a nearby bunsen burner to finish the job. (fire) damage
- The blob releases some inner pocket of acid, left over from some long-forgotten experiment. It's as dangerous as it is disgusting. (acid) damage
It hits you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- Nothing stops the paraffin blob from standing there inoffensively.
- The blob flicks some molten paraffin on you, which really isn't that bad.
- The blob releases some inner pocket of acid, left over from some long-forgotten experiment. It sighs contentedly.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.
Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
You gain 10*Level experience.
Known resistances/weaknesses
Immune to acid damage.
