Does this combat skill have a damage cap? I suspect that it DOES - I have an enerbun sphere equipped (+20 spell damage), and according to the page for this skill, the base damage for my level is 21-30. Therefore, I should be doing 41-50 damage... but I'm not. Every time I use this, it does 41 damage. [[User:World Wizard|World Wizard]] 12:49, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Damage Cap?

Does this combat skill have a damage cap? I suspect that it DOES - I have an enerbun sphere equipped (+20 spell damage), and according to the page for this skill, the base damage for my level is 21-30. Therefore, I should be doing 41-50 damage... but I'm not. Every time I use this, it does 41 damage. World Wizard 12:49, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Intellect Bonus

Could try to spade this. I tried (not too much effort though) with 0 points in Ice Bolt and no +spell damage...

Level 4: expected damage range before Int Bonus is 5-10 +4 = 9-14.

  • Intellect is 26, damage range is 12-17
  • Intellect is 32, damage is 13-18
  • Intellect is 44, damage is 13-19
  • Intellect is 50, damage is 16-21

Level 5: expected damage range before Int Bonus is 5-10 +5 = 10-15.

  • Intellect is 57, damage is 18-23
  • Intellect is 16, damage is 14-19
  • Intellect is 26, damage is 15-20
  • Intellect is 42, damage is 16-21

Yes, not much data, I know. The level 5 ranges suggest to me the bonus might be sqrt(Int), yet that doesn't really match the ranges for level 4. Would also need to check this for extremely low values and high values(say 1 and 500+) Kurg 12:04, 25 December 2010 (PST)
