Seppia's cephalopod skullcap
Plural: Seppia's cephalopod skullcaps
Res ipsa loquitur, the thing speaks for itself: it's a skullcap decorated to look a bit like a cuttlefish. Once upon a time it belonged to Seppia, one of the green-blooded (it's a cuttlefish thing; she's no Vulcan) masters (mistresses?) of the deep. Crafted of reinforced aragonite (a kingly material if ever there was one), the helmet still bears the cool, refreshing echoes of a deep-ocean current (or the soggy, chilled aura of tabula in naufragio [a plank in a shipwreck], if the damp of the briny deeps isn't your thing).
For a piece of underwater equipment, it's surprisingly also decked out with a superior disc player -- guess Seppia just couldn't get enough SQUID theme into her outfit.
