The Sloth

You are fighting The Sloth.

You would have thought that laziness and a life of crime weren't compatible, but the Sloth has found ways to become criminally lazy. What he lacks in enthusiasm, he makes up for in efficiency, because any truly lazy visionary is willing to be extremely efficient once in order to ensure a future lifetime of laziness.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • While you're trying to dodge whatever crafty trick the Sloth is going to come up with next, you actually manage to trip over the motionless sloth and sprain something. Go you.
  • The Sloth zaps you with his ray of laziness. Or rather, he just sets up the ray and tricks you into walking into it, which amounts to the same thing.
Special Attack: You find yourself slowed by the assault from The Sloth. You acquire an effect: Listless. (Added for 30 minutes.)
  • Using impeccable logic the Sloth argues that if you beat yourself up a little now, he won't have to do it to you. You're about halfway through pummeling yourself before realizing that doesn't make any sense.

He hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! He hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • The Sloth thinks about attacking, but decides to take a little nap in his hammock instead.
  • He turns on his ray of laziness, but he's too lazy to actually aim it. You keep away effortlessly.
  • The Sloth tries to trick you into beating yourself up, but you're not going to fall for that again.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! He takes X damage.

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
