hovertank

You are fighting a hovertank.

Slow but powerful, this thing is loaded with all kinds of weapons, each one of them pointing at you.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • Turns out this isn't a hovertank, it's a Hoovertank. Several hoses emerge from the vehicle and attempt to vacuum you through a series of whirling bristles and 6-inch-wide tubes. It's obvious you won't fit, but it knocks you around a lot in the process of trying. damage + (fire) damage
  • The jet of flame it shoots out of a turret makes you wish it were a sensory deprivation tank instead. (fire) damage
  • The tank stops hovering for a bit. While you're positioned underneath it.

It hits you for X damage.

Critical hit message:

Your opponent has a critical hit! It hits you for X damage.

Miss messages:

  • The tank tries to run you over, but since it's flying that's not especially effective.
  • You accidentally step in front of a cannon and a jet of shame envelops you. Whoops, someone must have mixed up a flamethrower with a blamethrower at the factory.
  • The tank goes haywire for a moment as all of its portals become jammed full of robot flying fish who don't realize it's not that kind of tank.

Fumble messages:

Your foe fumbles! It takes X damage.
