Got this at the end of a fight:

but they still only show (currently +5 ...) in item description ... still it looks like I am getting noticeably increasing XP gains
getting from +1 to +3, perhaps randomly
winning fights using yule blocks:

I maxxed out at +30 at level 4 and +35 at level 5. Then I got beat up. Praxis
