chromodynamic jay

You are fighting a chromodynamic jay.

This used to be a blue jay, you think, but now that it's gone quantum chromodynamic you're a little confused about what color to call it. 'Top,' possibly, or maybe 'charm,' if that's a color. Perhaps 'strange.' Yeah, it does seem 'strange' colored.
Your opponent attacks ...

Hit messages:

  • The jay lands on your head and does its best Woody Woodpecker impression. Heh-heh-heh-heh!
  • It pecks your eye out. Well, it would have, but being frusion it just sucks energy out through your face. Still not good, all things considered.
  • It divebombs you, flying right through your torso. That's a little disturbing, to say the least.

It drains some of your energy, stealing X PP.

Miss messages:

  • The bird takes a few minutes off to go on a quest and find out what the J stands for. Turns out it stands for jay.
  • Like a blackbird, it just sings in the dead of night. It's kind of pretty, really.
  • A frusion cat chases the jay around for a while. How come none of the non-frusion opponents ever interrupt each other while they're fighting you?

Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!

You gain 40 experience.
