Mind Poke
Your slowly developing psychic powers can't manage much more than a poke, but it can work in a pinch to get you out of a tight squeeze, if you don't mind all the grasping metaphors.
Deals psychic damage
Cost: 1 PP
When Used
- Against Positronic Robots, without Electronic Understanding:
Unknown
- Against Electronic Robots, without Electronic Understanding:
You reach out with your mind, prying at your opponent. There's no mind behind the mechanical shell, but you can sense some hint of a pattern in the electronic device that confronts you. Unfortunately, you can't quite latch on to the electronics to do anything about it.
- Otherwise:
You locate your opponent's mind and reach out with your own, giving a moderate poke for X damage.
Notes
- X is 3-6 + S, capped at 10+S, where S is the number of skill points invested. However, any damage above 10 + S is halved.
- Even with Electronic Understanding, it does less damage to Robots:
- Electronic Robots take 50% + 5*T% of the original damage, where T is the number of skill points invested in Electronic Understanding.
- Positronic Robots take 10% + T% of the original damage.
- Cap is increased by percentile bonus spell damage
