I'll either win or get killed by the third message, so I can't figure out what pattern there will be afterwards. However, I suspect that the mouse takes two rounds to prepare and one round to roar. Yingxiong

It seems take at least two rounds to "charge" for the killing (or at least very damaging) blow, then another to to execute it.  (This is consistent with the other foes too.)  One class-specific combat skill resets the countdown.  --hoyifung04 04:39, 3 October 2012 (PDT)

Every round, special messages are displayed below the hit or miss message:

 • The Mouse clears it's throat loudly and sings a couple scales as warm-up.
 • The Mouse bares its teeth at you threateningly. At least the bear isn't mousing it's teeth at you. That's just confusing.
 • The Mouse rears up on its hind legs and roars loudly enough to deal 500 (sonic) damage.

Trample of the Rhino:

Unlike elephants, rhinoceri... rhinoceruses aren't afraid of mice, so you channel the spirit of the rhinoceros and charge her, throwing her off balance. You attack ... there aren't many adjectives to describe a vicious beating, and I'm only offering "brutal" and "painful." While you think it over, your opponent takes 271 damage.

I'll either win or get killed by the third message, so I can't figure out what pattern there will be afterwards. However, I suspect that the mouse takes two rounds to prepare and one round to roar. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Yingxiong (talkcontribs) 10:52, 3 October 2012.

It seems take at least two rounds to "charge" for the killing (or at least very damaging) blow, then another to to execute it. (This is consistent with the other foes too.) One class-specific combat skill resets the countdown. --hoyifung04 04:39, 3 October 2012 (PDT)
