Plural: echelons of ornamental toppers
Usually, this comes in the form of a star or an angel. In my family, it was this weird, sparkly cone-shaped thing. I never understood it.
Anyway, you can stick this on top of a tree. Or on some badguy's head to really annoy them.

You stack one topper on top of the others, causing the universe to collapse into a singularity. Thankfully, the resulting universe is exactly the same except you have this buff.
