Guess what? Turns out August Personage was actually a real person and not just a weird pseudonym. Well, it could still be a pseudonym, but you know what I mean.
Turns out, he was actually a super hero in his own right. He didn't just (literally) write the book (scroll) on courtly etiquette, but he was also a very well regarded fashionista. He was possibly best known for his assertion that pants were on the way out and would be replaced by something even better.
Look, don't worry about the details, okay? These are so really sweet clothes to keep your legs covered while you're out superheroing.
