Deep in the Blue Raspberry Mountains, toffee spiders hunt sugarbirds. With a long and healthy life, those spiders absorb enough sugar to spin licorice webs and develop a hard candy carapace.
Thankfully, years of propaganda board games have convinced children that the Blue Raspberry Mountains are nothing but a fantasy. This toffee spider is pretty obviously robotic, so it shouldn't break the illusion.
