Talk:Pegasus
sooner or later I will figure out the transportation template - malk

First Tinker, now Blink, who will find it next?
Anyone spoiling this bitch yet? --CorruptShadow 22:56, 11 October 2008 (MST)
- Blink sent me the following, "Find the 4th [option] with the singing bird," and attached a verse of the dodo. I guess that might be the answer we were looking for? --CorruptShadow 17:46, 14 October 2008 (MST)
•••••• How has no one been able to spoil this yet with so many people looking for it!? Wow! --CorruptShadow 12:28, 20 October 2008 (MST) ••••••
- Perhaps it's rare. Or even ultra-rare... Cristiona
- Figures. Yet one more place I get to adventure for days on endless days. Weee! --CorruptShadow 14:06, 27 October 2008 (MST)

Clues
- Blink has given out the following clues, which may contain red herrings:
- Blink recited part of the description for the Eagle Feather
- Blink recited part of the description for the trilobyte
- Blink mentioned welding (even though the feather and trilobyte doesn't have a weld attribute)
- Blink stated that none of the pinata items have anything to do w/ the pegasus
- Blink hinted at a new/undiscovered zone
- Blink gave out references to "singing birds in the background" - verse of the dodo?
- Blink's outfit (which may have nothing to do w/ the pegasus): capo, cap-o, rail gun, xentrium breastplate, sticky gloves, leather pants, sturdy boots, isotope meter, fordbot logo, fish whiskers, Paradox Naught
- Blink's reputation was "Vigilant"--Grimdel 14:56, 9 October 2008 (MST)
Some more clues given to me by Blink:
- Lets just say, 2+2 has something to do with Pegasus.
- 2+2 =4, but sometimes 4 is hiding because "7-8-9"
- Once you get to that fat pidgeon, find the 4th. -0- Mischal
Obviously, that final clue refers to the fourth choice which 'mystically' is rumored to appear on the Triassic non-combat. 4 might be hiding because it's 'not yet time' for it to come out. This is almost without a doubt the adventure that opens up during a certain time period- whether there are other factors involved, who knows. - Satan
The 2+2=4 but sometimes 4 is hiding because "7-8-9". 2 could be the second choice, which is what gets you the verse of the dodo, and if you do it twice, you get the fourth option. 7-8-9 could refer to a string of 3 reputations in a row, since there are 9 reputations, and each side of the rep chart has 3 sides (1-2-3, 4-5-6, 7-8-9). Some combos of 7-8-9 could be either Watchdog-Pragmatic-Vigilant or Just-Judicious-Vigilant if you think getting the Pegasus involves Vigilant, or Watchdog-Altruist-Virtuous and Virtuous-Honorable-Just if you think getting it doesn't involve Vigilant. (Since Blink had Vigilant). Or it could be a completely different combo of the reputations. I'm guessing the combos could mean being any of them, or being neither of them, or being one in the "corners" (Vigilant, Just, Virtuous, Watchdog), or changing them in a certain order. Or I could be completely off. Just sharing my thoughts. :) - Sole Legend
- I assume the 7-8-9 is a play on the old joke "Why was 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 8 (ate) 9."--Olaf 00:16, 19 October 2008 (MST)
Spaded Ideas
NOTE: Do not use autoadventure or use it with this in mind. I have confirmed that the "Paths" with 3 options is the same adventure as the "Paths" with 4 options (setting Autoadventure to option 4 and then encountering the 3 option choice with autoadventure glitching, saying option unavailable). If you set to option 3, you will zoom right by option 4. You also cannot sneak by and get the pegasus off the 3 option adventure either. So nyah. --Alyxe 16:23, 20 November 2008 (MST)
- Blink's clues and nature of the Pegasus indicate that the Triassic Park and Bestiary plays a big part
- I tried using the 4x invisibility potions (made w/ the feather), and wearing a trilobyte while exploring the Bestiary - no go...--Grimdel 14:56, 9 October 2008 (MST)
tried the same thing with leached liquid and i also tried it with verse of the dodo and 7th of 9 equipped, and with invisibility and leached it didn't work either--Pseudoname 16:11, 14 October 2008 (MST)
I know it only affects being in chat, but ring of fellowship? - Str
- I tried removing all +items gear (less than efficient and because of the "4 is hiding because 7-8-9", which I thought might be a reference to the Seventh of Nine item.) and equipping "verse of the dodo" but no luck on that. "Stealth" and "Skeptic Sandals" got me the NCA several times, including twice in a row more than once. --Alyxe
- it seems like theres more to it than the time or maybe its more exact than i thought or maybe i just barely missed it: http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj35/w1-/Untitled.jpg --Pseudoname 22:16, 26 October 2008 (MST)

Hypothesis (not yet confirmed, but I'm on my way): get the Two Paths adventure three times in a row, choosing the second option the first two times.--Eldarion 05:51, 3 November 2008 (MST)
- Semi-rare, time dependant. Cristiona

There seems to be some kind of trigger for it, otherwise you just get this:
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/6493/pegasusrp8.jpg
--BongBob 01:07, 12 November 2008 (MST)
- I wager the trigger is: "Get the appropriate adventure instead of trying to URL hack the game" Cristiona
- Could be :) But since the code insertion must be done on the correct adventure, otherwise nothing happens at all, I'm not convinced we're talking about an entirely different combat encounter. Nothing says the trigger can't be something on the complexity level of the URs in KoL :) --BongBob 00:29, 13 November 2008 (MST)
- Aside from Ryme saying it's not that complicated. And this is a semi-rare, not an ultra-rare anyway, so nyah :P Cristiona
- Ya, I know. Just meant it as an example that even if it's the same encounter but with a trigger needed, the trigger can still be hard to find out :) --BongBob 13:53, 13 November 2008 (MST)

I added the second version in case some people felt a bit jealous of their order of acquisition.
Shoudln't we add what day in TH (starsday, frayday...) also because that might effect the times
- As far as I know, the day is irrelevant. Cristiona 20:48, 4 November 2008 (MST)
- Well if it is for any help (thing that I doubt) I got the adventure of the dodo around 6 to 8 times (more than what I get in the rest of the day) between the 1:30 and 3:30.. this might not be important since I dont have Ixion.. erh.. mean pegasus (damn FFs)
Plural form of Pegasus
After some research, I believe that the plural form of Pegasus is Pegasi not Pegasuss. And if nobody minds I would like to change it to that. Doctor Mania 23:58, 20 November 2008 (MST)
