Used the memory box. The tuning lasted 3 hours. Gave between 18 and 21 XP at the end of combat. He was level 17 throughout the testing. I'll try to get some more data points the next time I retcon at lower levels. List of areas and xp gained there for the first 20 or so turns I spent:

cube: 18, 20, 19,

Guild: 20, 20

Yang Boulevard: 21, 21, 19, 19, 18, 18, 18, 18, 19, 21, 19, 21...

Cannonball Tavern: 19, 19, 19, 21

Triassic Park: 21, 20, 18

1) insta-charge capsule didn't change elemental tuning for me 2) with no (other) +% spell damage and maxed aura: mystery (and archron's staff), observed 28 damage from throw sparks (with 0 skill points in it) agains a buzzing swarm, which indicates roughly +20% spell damage (at level 10): the aura'd sparks cap out at 15, then +20% makes 18, then 50% weakness makes 28 not knowing the rounding behind it, the estimate E is between 15.56% (lowest where round(round(15 +E%, up) +50%,up)=28) and 33.33% (highest where ... down ... down ...). Note two things: one - it has to be % increase or it wouldn't increase the damage past the already capped 15, two - this still doesn't rule out any absolute +spell damage, which would simply be invisibly capped out in this case OK, next turn, 19 against a feral specter (again twice), that's probably the round down/down case, and narrows the estimate to between 26.67% and 33.33% (but not an entire +1/3, that would increase 15 to whole 20); 30% seems like a good candidate here Next, against the same feral specter, 91 with a maxed mind jab. 8-16 + 30 + 25 (mystery) + 9 (sqrt(int)) + 10 (archron) = 82-90, halving anything above 60: 71-75, that's roughly between +21% and +28% ; ... huh, if I had 1 less +spell damage, it would be 70-74 and the upper estimate would be +30% ... so either I made an error somewhere and it's +30%, or it's +27%/+28%? --XKiv 07:43, 29 November 2011 (PST)
