This is a pouch of ink harvested from a squidopus. Yeah, the harvesting was kinda gross, but the ink might be useful in a pinch. Like when you need to write a letter in non-disappearing ink. Or, say, if you need to ruin a carpet.

When Used
You coat yourself in the squidopus ink because, as your uncle Kurt always said, "When it's dark, be dark." You stop applying the ink when you can't see yourself anymore and accidentally poke yourself in the ribs. (Added for 40 minutes.)

When Used in Combat
You whip out a pouch of squidopus ink and squirt it into your opponent's eyes, blinding and distracting the foe.
