Here's what I did, might work some other way, I'm not sure about what it is keeping track:
First Okarin got on a chopper and then strafing 6 times, took 2 turns I think. Then Reigna, from the ground, hit it for the damage specified above. Then Aewyre strafing 6 times. Then Feathergod, like Reigna hit twice for about 1500 damage. Then Aewyre strafinged 5 times. Then Feathergod hit until I saw the "unsteady walk" pace. Then Aewyre dealt 4 strafings and back to Feathergod who killed it.
Again, I dunno what does it track, but I noticed that the first hit from the ground after strafing those numbers had a special attack with little or no damage. Also, I didn't see any confusion messages but I didn't pay attention while strafing. Hopefully if Cristiona's theory works she might be able to tell what is going on.
