Palooka Joe gum

This is a piece of Palooka Joe gum. It's a little wad of nearly unchewable pink stuff wrapped in paper. There's a single pointy dent in every piece of this "gum." It's probably just a result of the manufacturing as every piece has it, but it looks a lot like somebody stuck it with a needle. You don’t really think anyone would have done that, but you also can't tell for sure that they didn’t, because there's the needle-shaped hole in it. You can still remember that Halloween when you threw out something like twenty pieces of the stuff, because you were old enough to know to be paranoid about holes, but young enough not to catch on that they all looked the same way.
