Hobbes' nail boots
Plural: Hobbes' nail bootses
This is a pair of old fashioned boots, stuck together with heavy iron nails that stick out from the sole, so they make a terrific amount of noise when you walk. They've also been wrapped in genuine fake tiger skin to make them look fashionable. Supposedly. You're rather skeptical that anyone would consider these things chic. If you had to describe them, you'd probably say they were nasty, brutish, and short. Yes. Short.

References
- The name of this item is wordplay on Hobnailed boots, which are boots reinforced with nails for greater durability.
- "nasty brutish and short" is a reference to a quote from the philosophical treatise Leviathan written by philosopher Thomas Hobbes; in full being: "the life of man [is], solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short."
- The tiger skin and the pounce attack are references to Hobbes, a character in the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. Hobbes is a stuffed tiger, named after the above mentioned Thomas Hobbes, and is fond of greeting Calvin with vicious yet playful pounces.
