  • Cyberpunk is a subgenre of science fiction, in which William Gibson (1st hit message) is a pioneer. Neuromancer (2nd miss message) is one of his most well-known novels.
  • The first hit message refers to the band Psykosonik whose lyrics often contained cyberpunk themes. "Welcome to My Mind", "Teknojihad", "Shock on the Wire", and "Down on the Ground" are all titles of their songs.
  • There are several references and quotes to Billy Idol's songs, especially from the album Cyberpunk.
  • The third hit message quotes from the song "Shock to the System".
  • The first miss messages mentions Wasteland, quotes "Mother Dawn", and mentions Mony Mony. The first two songs are from "Cyberpunk".
  • The second miss message both mentions and quotes ("Trancing") the song "Neuromancer" from "Cyberpunk". The second hit message also quotes the same song.
