Personal copy of the internet
This page contains some non specific data which NEEDS SPADING: Has the use message changed? |
personal copy of the internet
Plural: personal copy of the internets
Now, you might think that it's counterproductive to own a personal copy of a thing that's global, everchanging, and by definition a communal project. But the thing is, this one has your name on it. Right at the top, in large, bold letters. You can't beat that, can you?
Also, it's nice because it keeps you entertained while you're out on patrol. Let's face it; other than when you're actually in the middle of a fight, walking around by yourself isn't all that interesting anyway.

When Used
If you don't have a computer:
You go to install the software on a computer ... but then you realize you don't actually have a computer in the lab yet. Maybe you oughta talk to the folks at the electronics store by the University and see if they've got any suggestions for you.
If you don't have it installed:
You pop in the CD and install the software. It's now on your computer(s) and can be run any time. The licensing on these is such that you can keep a copy of the installer for future usage.
If you already have it installed:
You've already got this installed and thus don't need to install it again. You hang on to this copy in case you ever need it later.
