Talk:Ancient egg mass
From Twilight Heroes Wiki
Somtimes, at the end of a combat round (if you do enough damage?):
- One of the eggs pops open, revealing a hungry, hungry tadpole. Normally, this would only be concerning to algae, but this particular tadpole is about your size... and clearly carnivorous.
Then, with enough damage done?:
- The egg mass is getting smaller by the minute. Maybe the future can be changed after all...
followed by one of:
- no eggs popped:
- The tadpole is hungry like the wolf, so it circles you like the wolf and is ready to take a bite out of you like the wolf.
- 1-2 eggs popped?:
- The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 100 damage.
- 2-3 eggs popped?:
- The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 300 damage.
- 3-4 eggs popped?:
- The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 600 damage.

The damage appears to be the 100 * (n^2 + n) / 2 (or 100 * triangular numbers), where n is the number of eggs popped at the start of this round of combat. At least, it seems to be the case from 0 to 8. --hoyifung04 (talk) 09:17, 3 March 2015 (PST)
- I confirm the ones next are 1000 and 1500, triangular numbers indeed. Patojonas 12:10, 3 March 2015 (PST)
I've noticed that sometimes it does the triangular damage numbers minus a small fixed amount from round to round, last time was 30 (70, 270, 570, etc). Any ideas on what might be the cause? Patojonas 04:40, 13 March 2015 (PDT)
