There's also a Torch of Nug, but in my excitement I didn't record it and instead bought it. And this isn't all of them, I think. It's hard to say still. --MN (#228) (T|C) 05:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Furnace of Yeb doesn't have 10% HP sap, that's Torch of Nug. Furnace is the ranged 'copy' with +5 ranged attacks. - Satan

Trident of Nodens (ranged, +attacks, PP%/HP% leech, assorted elemental)
2 Lemurian fragments
1 poisonous hide
1 seed of Azathoth
1 The Black
30,000 chips

Crystallizer of Dreams (offhand, +%physical resist, +spell damage, +%init)
3 Lemurian fragments
2 seeds of Azathoth
30,000 chips

Vambraces of the Star Spawn (gloves, -toughness, 10 damage to attacker, -fumble chance)
2 poisonous hides
1 horrid tentacle
2 squamous leathers
30,000 chips

Robe of Summanus (full body, +noncombats, +criticals, +%ele resist, +reputation modifiers)
1 Lemurian fragment
1 poisonous hide
1 seed of Azathoth
2 squamous leathers
30,000 chips

More stuff; less straight-up powerful, but it fills the other equipment slots quite nicely, along with offering a less brute-force approach to things. I've also come into possession of a Shining Trapezohedron (accessory, +noncombats, +10HP/turn, +~3 new sidekick summons per day), though I didn't bother recording the recipe for that. --JazzTap 06:02, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

If someone has a level 29 character, please don't level up, because after acquiring the dreamer's clock, the old man refuses to see you until you level up. I forgot to save the text so someone else needs to get it. -PKProStudio

Is this table useful to anyone? --neocamp22

It's great to me. Now I know what to farm and for how long. Would've done something similar for myself, but not this nice. Thanks a bunch. --Alarion 22:14, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Resemblance to KoL's Crackpot Mystic's Shed

I've moved the suggested reference here so it could be discussed:

  • The message you obtain when the Creepy Old Man cannot produce anything from your artifacts is possibly also a reference to the Kingdom of Loathing, given that it resembles the message you get when visiting the Crackpot Mystic without a combination of pixels which he can use to "pixel-craft" items.
  • Strangely but expectedly, the Creepy Old House appears to be analogous to the Crackpot Mystic's Shed in the Kingdom of Loathing. It can also be said that the quest by which you gain access to the House could have been inspired by the 8-bit realm in the same game, given the mechanics involved (and the storyline, but only just).

The messages resemblance might as well be coincidental. The Mystic says "Alas, I cannot make anything with the Pixels you have thus far collected." compared to "Alas, I can not make anything from what ye possess."

I don't really see the resemblance in mechanics or storyline. Mechanics wise, this is the same mechanic as the Wade-bot Base, it has nothing to do with the 8-bit realm. Storywise I see no resemblance at all. The only resemblance I do see is that these are guys that live in houses. So what?

If you want to restore the references please justify it here first. --Muhandes 08:15, 18 June 2009 (UTC) SunWukong 09:20, 18 June 2009 (UTC) Well, let's see.

  • firstly we all know that Ryme was influenced by KoL. This game carries a strong influence over from KoL.
  • secondly, both the Creepy Old Man and the Crackpot Mystic appear to serve the same function:

The statements by the old man were not inspired by pixel crafting. I suppose it's possible that I was unconsciously influenced, but while I was creating the layout, I continually drew comparisons to Crimbo Town, but only because you couldn't see the full list unless you had enough parts. The old man is a reference to something, but not something from KoL. Cristiona 09:43, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

Bug fix validation

I am not sure what is proper transportation - with proper range or the clock. But I can get here with any vehicle --Shikao 23:50, 30 January 2011 (PST)

Then you should probably find where in the forums Ryme said it was fixed and let him know it wasn't. --Muhandes 07:47, 31 January 2011 (PST)
