Someone will need to grab the one-time noncombats, but here's a bleed-off non-com:
Rats!
You see a frusion rat sitting by the entrance to an alley, eating a piece of frusion cheese. It's almost cute, but you know how much trouble these creatures have been causing, so you try to chase it down. Of course the rat sees you and scurries into the alley. You lunge after it, but skid to a halt when you realize you've walked into a gigantic rat's nest. Literally hundreds of beady little frusion eyes stare at you hungrily, and you realize the rats have baited and trapped you--they've made a better hero trap!
You try to run, but they swarm all over you before you can escape the alley. You really hope you don't have to worry about frusion rabies. Although you get a couple of them, ultimately you lose this battle. You lose 95 PP.
You gain 28 XP.
You remember what Ebeneezer said, about not going into the area with too many power points, and consider the wisdom of that statement.
And here's the only other one I've seen:
Feeding Frenzy
You step out into the street, looking for a fight. Unfortunately, you're apparently way too amped up. A veritable whirlwind of frusion locusts swarm into the sky, their sole intent to devour your energy. You try to fight, and you even manage to get a bunch of them, but ultimately it's futile. Their little frusion tendrils and pinchers get everywhere; it's just awful. The creatures devour your excess energy, and leave you drained and shaken. You lose 93 PP. You gain 48 XP.
You remember what Ebeneezer said, about not going into the area with too many power points, and consider the wisdom of that statement.
Urg. Shrugged off fire shield; forgot that you have to deal the final blow, so it could artificially increase a foe's seeming HP. Anyway, here are the revised values.
sub-atom ant - 7-9 HP
frusion grasshopper - 8-10 HP
quantum bee - 9-12 HP
vibration spider - 11-14 HP
glowing rat - 13-16 HP
frusion scorpion - 15-19 HP
chromodynamic jay - 17-21 HP
quark-horned lizard - 19-23 HP
quantum-tufted squirrel 21-25 HP
Observation/Hypothesis:
the ant and grasshopper have a 2 point range, and are worth 11-19 XP.
The bee, spider, and rat have a 3 point range, and are worth 20-29 XP.
The scorpion has a 4 point range, and is worth 30-39 XP.
If this trend is any indication, the jay has a missing range value and the squirrel ought to have a 6 point range (2 missing values). --Jesus 06:52, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
