Earl n' Meyer |
---|
You are fighting Earl n' Meyer.
You make your way through the hazards of the lab to the far corner away from the door. A swirling vortex of bizarre elements stretches outward, threatening to devour all of Twilight.
As we all know, there are four elements, not dozens. No elemental would ever submit to that! That's madness! Madness and alchemy! It's a good thing you're here to stop... whoever's doing this.
On further examination, it probably has something to do with the two bearded men standing near the portal.
They introduce themselves as Earl and Meyer. But, once they realize you're here to save Twilight rather than help them swamp it with dozens of new elements, they move to contain you.
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- Earl holds your arms while Meyer punches you in the gut.
- Earl douses you with a flask of strong-smelling solvent and Meyer tosses on a match. (fire) damage
- They play keep away with a flask, tossing it back and forth until it spills on you and you realize it was acid all along. (acid) damage
They hit you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! They hit you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- Earl grabs your arms, but you maneuver him into the path of Meyer's punch. They quickly fall to bickering about whose fault that was.
- Earl douses you with a flask of strong-smelling solvent, but you blow out Meyer's match before he can do any damage.
- They play keep away with a flask, tossing it back and forth until you realize you don't want it anyway.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! They takes X damage.
Victory! You beat up your foe and win the combat!
You gain 11*Level experience.
Staggered by your attack, Meyer stumbles backwards towards the portal. Earl dives for him, trying to hold on as they both vanish into the hellishly redundant Elemental Plane of Elements.
The portal snaps shut behind them, cutting off the screams of the damned that were echoing through the room. Did I mention the screams of the damned?
Anyway, you grab some of the evil glassware they were working on and sneak back out of the school, satisfied with a job well done.
