The Mick is a mysterious entity which appears to be the primary antagonist in the plot of Twilight Heroes, who is first mentioned during the quest [[Protests Aren't for Amateurs]]. Although it is unknown if the Mick is an individual or an organisation (as suggested upon completion of the said quest), [[You're in Their Base, Stealin' Their Secrets|evidence]] found by a superhero in the [[Byzantine Interior of the Unborn Base]] hints that the Mick ''is'' indeed an individual.

Ace shrugs, and says "I could say the same thing. That's why this is going to end. Here. Now."


Doing this immediately unlocks the hitherto uncompleted quest [[Cat and Mick-y Mouse Game]]. The Mick is then subsequently implicated in the theft of goods from ships at night in [[Go Fish]] and is revealed in [[Go Fish, Again]] to have connections to the [[Trouble in the Wasteland|Unborn Army]] and even the villainous [[I'm All Locked Up (choice)|la Frostheim family]].
"Hey, that's my line!" you object. "And 'The Mick'? What's that about, anyway? 'Ace' isn't an Irish name."


The Mick may somehow be connected to or actually turn out to be [[Michael Ace]] himself. This appears to be plausible, given that "Mick" is a slang word-or even a pet name-derived from the name "Michael", and Michael Ace was connected to shady dealings and encounters during [[C.H.I.P.S. (Casino Heroes Investigate Purported Scandal)]], [[Don't Cry for Me, Zion-tina]] and [[Through the Dimensional Rabbit-Hole]].
"Oh, I'm not Irish. Way back they used to call me 'The Michael' but eventually it just got shortened to Mick. You know how these things go."

Despite being a possible combat encounter or chracter in the future, the Mick is not present in the game as an [http://th.blandsauce.com/wiki/Category:NPC NPC] for obvious reasons.

As soon as you walk into the room a bunch of goons jump out and drag your temporary sidekick out a back door. You should have known you'd have to handle this fight on your own.

The Mick

You are fighting The Mick.

You charge into the room, ready for a fight, and run right into some sort of invisible force field. On the other side is your old "friend" Michael Ace, wearing an impressively tailored mechanical exosuit.

"I should have known," you mutter. "You always were too much trouble."

Ace shrugs, and says "I could say the same thing. That's why this is going to end. Here. Now."

"Hey, that's my line!" you object. "And 'The Mick'? What's that about, anyway? 'Ace' isn't an Irish name."
