The damage appears to be the 100 * (n^2 + n) / 2 (or 100 * triangular numbers), where n is the number of eggs popped at the start of this round of combat.  At least, it seems to be the case from 0 to 8.  --[[User:Hoyifung04|hoyifung04]] ([[User talk:Hoyifung04|talk]]) 09:17, 3 March 2015 (PST)

I've noticed that sometimes it does the triangular damage numbers minus a small fixed amount from round to round, last time was 30 (70, 270, 570, etc). Any ideas on what might be the cause? [[User:Patojonas|Patojonas]]  04:40, 13 March 2015 (PDT)

Somtimes, at the end of a combat round (if you do enough damage?):

One of the eggs pops open, revealing a hungry, hungry tadpole. Normally, this would only be concerning to algae, but this particular tadpole is about your size... and clearly carnivorous.

Then, with enough damage done?:

The egg mass is getting smaller by the minute. Maybe the future can be changed after all...

followed by one of:

no eggs popped:
The tadpole is hungry like the wolf, so it circles you like the wolf and is ready to take a bite out of you like the wolf.
1-2 eggs popped?:
The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 100 damage.
2-3 eggs popped?:
The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 300 damage.
3-4 eggs popped?:
The tadpoles swim around you, taking experimental nibbles out of you for 600 damage.
