Fire and ice go together like dragons and zombies. Sure, it sounds like a good idea, but it probably just ends up being a big fight at the end.

Despite the obviously technological hurdles, the Hero Dash crew has laid out an obstacle course with everything you could ever want: pits of fire, walls of ice, and, to top it all off, burning ice! They've brought your childhood to life!

If you've selected Douse the fire but not Haul that ice:

You've made things N degrees cooler.

If you've selected Haul that ice but not Douse the fire:

You've hauled M ton of ice.

If you've selected Douse the fire and Haul that ice:

You've made things N degrees cooler and hauled M ton of ice.

Options:

  • Douse the fire
  • Haul that ice
  • Run the course
  • Maybe later

If you chose Douse the fire:

Through Fire and Plasma
Is it getting hot in here or is it just that you're approaching a wall of flame?

If you have at least +20 ice damage:

In either case, as you get closer, you're able to hose down the fire with a glacier-load of ice. It turns out the ice age works as well on fire as it does on plants.

What? Just because dinosaurs would be cooler doesn't mean your ice puns take a back seat to scientific accuracy.

  • Makes it 3 degrees cooler
If you have at least +5 but less than +20 ice damage:

In either case, as you get closer, you're able to hose down the fire with nice refreshing ice. Thankfully, the stuff basically submlimates so it doesn't get mixed in with the other ice causing you problems.

  • Makes it 2 degrees cooler
Otherwise:

In either case, it seems to get a bit better when you leave a fridge on with the door open towards it. Thats science!

  • Makes it 1 degree cooler

If you chose Haul that ice:

Through Ice and Frost
You jump in there and start hauling some ice cubes with the best song in the sound track that nobody remembers.

If you have Ant's Strength active with 10 SP invested:

You cut and haul the ice with the proportional strength of a million ants! Which, really, is pretty impressive as long as you don't think about it too hard.

  • Haul 3 ton of ice
If you have Ant's Strength active with less than 10 SP invested:

You cut and haul the ice with the proportional strength of an ant! That's probably a better power than being able to talk to them anyway.

  • Haul 2 ton of ice
If you know Ant's Strength, but don't have it active:

You could definitely use the proportional strength of an arthropod, but you still manage to cut and haul some ice with your boring skeleton-on-the-inside strength.

  • Haul 1 ton of ice
Otherwise:

You don't have the proportional strength of an arthropod, but you still manage to haul some ice.

  • Haul 1 ton of ice

If you chose Run the course:

Through Fire and Ice
You know no longer how long you wait, nothing's going to get resolved on its own, so you charge in to the obstacle course.

You make your way through the zone of fire and ice, taking X damage from the fire and Y damage from the ice.

If you are defeated:

But that's all you have in you.

If this is the first completed trial of the Dash:

The booth right after the event offers you a drink.

You got an item: Water Drinkadile Drinkadile.gif

or

You got an item: Garlic Drinkadile Drinkadile.gif

or

You got an item: Lavender Drinkadile Drinkadile.gif

If this is the second completed trial of the Dash:

The booth right after the event offers you some refreshment.

You got an item: Hero Dash nuts Herodashnuts.gif

or

You got an item: Hero Dash licorice Herodashlicorice.gif

or

You got an item: Hero Dash expresso Herodashexpresso.gif

If this is the third completed trial of the Dash:

You've finished today's Hero Dash in <amount of time taken>. Congratulations!

If you chose Maybe later:
