Before Supplying Logos
You visit the Aquasson base. Cautious and arrogant, Pentacron grudgingly grants you an audience.
"I demand submission from all of the Paddlebots and Fordicons. Each bot carries a personalized logo, demonstrating allegiance to their cause. No bot will part with their logo willingly, so possession of those logos is adequate proof that they have been forced into submission."
Pentacron flips you a logo to demonstrate. You immediately notice that the logo is nearly identical in size, shape, and feel to Twilight City's plax chips. As you hand the logo back, you wonder if some of the standard chips-detection methods might help you find these more quickly.
Before fulfilling any opponent base request:
Pentacron says, "If you wish to talk to me further, bring me 20 of their logos, and you will be rewarded."
After fulfilling one opponent base request:
Pentacron eyes you warily. "My underlings indicate that you have made deals with the other bots. I do not like this. If you wish to earn a reward, you must bring me 26 logos, and then we will talk more."
After fulfilling two opponent base requests:
Pentacron eyes you warily. "My underlings indicate that you have made deals with both groups of the other bots. I do not like this; I should come first. If you wish to earn a reward, you must bring me 32 logos, and then we will talk more."
You currently have X logo(s).
If you have enough logos:
How many of each type of logo would you like to turn in?
Paddlebot logos (have X):
Ford-bot logos (have X):
Turn in the logos for the reward |
Pentacron grabs the logos greedily and examines them with care. "Well done. You have been a great help to us, and you have earned your reward."
You got an item: Isotope meter
"Also, you may come to us any time you wish to improve your skills, and we will train you, for a price."
After Supplying Logos
If you are not ready for training:
Pentacron eyes you carefully and snorts, "You think you're ready for training? You're not ready for training. Quit wasting my time, and come back later."
If you are ready for training:
Pentacron says, "All right, fine, you're ready for training to level X.
Training will cost you X logos."
You currently have X logos.
How many of each type of logo would you like to turn in?
Paddlebot logos (have X):
Ford-bot logos (have X):
Time to Train |
Trying to turn in fewer logos than needed:
You need to hand over at least X logos. Pentacron won't take less than that.
Trying to turn in more logos than needed:
You stop and realize you're about to hand over too many logos. You need to hand over exactly X logos. Pentacron would surely take more, but it would be a waste.
After turning in the appropriate number of logos:
Pentacron's version of "training" is to throw you in a pit with <Current Level> of his minions and set them all on you at once. It's all you can do to survive, but scrapping through the fight stretches you beyond your limits. When you've finished, they inject you with some silvery stuff that leaves you feeling twitchy, thirsty, and somewhat hollow, but whole.
You gain a level!
You gain X hit points. You gain X power points.
Your strength increases by X points.
Your intellect increases by X points.
Your reflexes increase by X points.
You get 2 skill points that you can invest into improving skills.
You get an adrenaline rush!
This also restores your HP, but not your PP, to fullness.
Notes
- For experience points (XP) and logos needed to gain each level, see the table here.
- For attribute points gained at each level (HP, PP, Strength, Intelligence, and Reflexes), see the table here.
- Training twice without leaving the screen will not give you the Delayed Gratification Merit Badge; that can only be obtained at the Heroes' Guild.
- If you try to get here with the ready for training link without having unlocked the Space Station, you get the following message instead:
- You want to train, but have already outstripped your earthly trainers. You'll have to find someone new to train you beyond your current level.
- According to Ryme, the fact that PP is not restored is intentional. In fact, it is hinted at the text.
