Determining %
I first determined with very high certainty that the drop rate of pearl of wisdom in Porcelain Bay is 80%.
I then wore items giving 8% and Meat Detector. I had a case where nothing dropped, so Meat Detector is at most 17%.
I tried items giving 10% and Meat Detector. In 300 turns I got 100% drop, pointing at total of 25%, or 15% from Meat Detector.
I know this is not 100% correct. But say it was only 14%, the chance of 300 turns with no fail is (0.8*1.24)^300=9%, so that's the chance of error. If other people can run 300 more turns the chance drops to less than 1%.--Muhandes 15:16, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
