Spray Weapons use the following messages:

Hit Messages

  • you skip N rounds off the ground, bouncing them into your opponent for X damage.
  • you skip your shot off the ground, bouncing it into your opponent for X damage.
  • you shoot N times from a distance. Luckily your rounds don't spread too much, so you still manage X damage.
  • you shoot several times from a distance. One of the rounds doesn't spread too much, so you still manage X damage.
  • you blast your opponent repeatedly, your N rounds hit for X damage, sending your opponent spinning
  • you blast your opponent once, hitting for X damage, sending your opponent spinning.
  • you fire N times at extremely close range. Ouch. That's at least X damage.
  • you fire once at extremely close range. Ouch. That's at least X damage.
  • you squeeze off N quick rounds, spraying your foe for X damage.
  • you squeeze off a quick round, spraying your foe for X damage.

Miss Messages

  • you try to get fancy by skipping rounds off the ground, but you aren't that skilled.
  • you fall back to long range and fire, but your rounds spread too much and fail to do noticeable damage.
  • you blast your opponent, but you loaded your <weapon> with rock salt. It hurts, but it doesn't do any real damage.
  • you charge up to your opponent and fire several times, but your opponent knocks the gun out of the way.
  • your weapon clicks dully. And you thought this game didn't have ammunition.

Fumble Message

Fumble! You shoulder your weapon and take careful aim at your opponent, but then some stupid rabbit runs up and sticks his fingers in the barrel, right as you pull the trigger. The blow-back does X damage to you.

Critical Hit Message

you find yourself in the zone, firing off shot after shot after shot. You're like Lucas McCain but with a <weapon> instead of a Winchester. Your hail of rounds peppers your foe for X critical damage.
