Calculation method

X% - base drop rate
Y% - bonus drop
Do we know whether total drop rate is X+Y% or X*(1+Y)%? --Shikao 11:50, 7 December 2010 (PST)

It's multiplicative, not additive. If the base drop rate is 50%, a +10% item drop rate will raise the total chance to 55%. Additive's too powerful; makes it far too easy to make things a guaranteed drop. Cristiona
