MechaPinata squad |
---|
You are fighting the MechaPinata squad.
As you make your way deeper into the MechaPinata forces, a squad of soldiers confronts you. "Papers please."
You show them some paper mache, but they don't think its nearly as funny as you do.
Your opponent attacks ...
Hit messages:
- The squad lines up and spits streams of sour gumballs at you, ratta-tat-tat. Ugh, they're used. damage+ (acid) damage
- An array of weapons folds out of each pinata. Oh, right, cybernetic pinatas.
- They beat the stuffing out of you. Not as literally as you're about to beat the paper mache out of them, but the point stands.
They hit you for X damage.
Critical hit message:
Your opponent has a critical hit! They hit you for X damage.
Miss messages:
- The squad lines up and spits streams of sour gumballs at you. Only MechaPinata soldiers are so precise! Which is to say they hit everything but you.
- They stand around and stare at you with their cybernetic eyes... Creeeeeeeeepy.
- They try to beat the stuffing out of you, but you adequately demonstrate you're not an evil plushie.
Fumble messages:
Your foe fumbles! They takes X damage.

Notes
- A total of 100 MechaPinatas need to be defeated to successfully thwart the invasion. The number of MechaPinatas each foe counts as can be seen here.
- Fighting this foe while having a baseball bat equipped is enough to add it to the number of MechaPinatas batted, in the records. So far unknown effect.
- Having MechaPinata gear equipped and/or a Mechapinata!! sidekick allows you to skip some foes. A list of the MechaPinata gear can be found here and the foes you can skip in here.
- At the start of each fight, there's the following message:
- You dive into the <status> horde.
- if you have at least one MechaPinata gear equipped but aren't using the Mechapinata!! as your sidekick, the message is replaced by:
- You sneak behind enemy lines into the <status> horde. It takes a while for them to see through your cunning disguise.
- if you have a Mechapinata!! sidekick, the message is replaced by:
- You hide within your mechapinata, sneaking behind enemy lines into the <status> horde.
- Where <status> depends on how many MechaPinatas have been defeated so far and can be one of the following:
- None defeated: undisturbed
- 1 to 9 defeated: massive
- 10 to 19 defeated: unbroken
- 20 to 29 defeated: fierce
- 30 to 39 defeated: cautious
- 40 to 49 defeated: <blank>
- 50 to 59 defeated: stampeding
- 60 to 69 defeated: mired
- 70 to 79 defeated: struggling
- 80 to 89 defeated: thinning
- 90 to 99 defeated: remarkably sparse
- Stunning is less effective and lasts half as long, with the message:
- Your opponent is too stunned to act, but is shaking it off faster than you expected.
- MechaGelts, sugar water coolers and jumbo jawbreakers appear to be random, having more players join the fray increase the chances as you end up having an higher total of fights.
- The general's baton, rallying flag and MechaMache only drop when you defeat the last MechaPinata. Number of MechaMaches varies from 2-4 and the other two drops appear to be random, both can be received at the same time though.
