• I just gained an item from this encounter that I have not seen before:

Just toss this rug over in the corner. Or whip it at someone else and let them worry about what to do with it.

• Using it gave the following message:

You find a neighbor who recently lost his own rug in a series of unfortunate, if hilarious, misunderstandings. He tearfully accepts your rug as a replacement.

This removes the rug, but has no other (as yet) discernable effect.

• Throwing it is also an option, but I now lack the item to test!
