This monster has a ton of techno music references:

His description is at least two songs from Billy Idol's Cyberpunk album ("Neuromancer" and "When the Night Comes" and possibly "Heroin"). The reference to Gibson is, of course, because of his book Neuromancer.

First hit message references the band Psykosonik, specifically "Welcome to my Mind" and "Techno Jihad".

Second hit messages references the band Messiah (not the Swedish death metal band, the London techno one).

First miss is more Billy Idol. "Wasteland", "Heroin" (I think), and his cover of "Mony Mony".

Second miss is yet more Billy Idol. "Neuromancer" again.

Third miss is still more Billy Idol. "Mother Dawn" (I believe).
