- "Anachronism" in Greek ("ana" a suffix meaning "not" or "without") refers to something that is out of chronological order, ie a rifle appearing in a mediaeval knight's tomb. "Meta" means "beyond" or "after". Apparently, these guys are kicking it up one notch further, given the gadgets used by the IT Wizard and the cloaked swordsman.
