Semi-rare

Semi-rares are rare items that fall between the rarity of Ultra-rare items and normal items. They tend to be in Color. Like ultra-rare items, they seem to have no step counters or other tricks; they are just reasonably rare. Semi-rares can either be a rare drop from a foe, a rare adventure, or a rare choice option of an adventure.

There are currently 6 known semi-rare items:

• Rare drops:
  • corrupt amulet from brutish man in Rooftops of downtown.
  • special wooden cup from pitch-black knight, a choice of Glove Slap, Baby in Guild for Imaginative Metachronism.
  • The 'Swift and ...' trilogy from pier security guard in The Docks.
• Rare adventures:
  • Hey, Hey! Free Loot! in Byzantine Interior of the Unborn Base, a choice between:
    • pseudo-chitin armor
    • ion beamer
• Rare choice:
  • pegasus, a rare choice from Two Paths Diverged in a Prehistoric Wood in Triassic Park and Bestiary. Available only between 1am and 6am, game time.

Notes

• The name "semi-rare" was mentioned by Ryme, most probably after the name being used in Kingdom of Loathing. However, if there is any mechanism similar to the one used in that game (a step counter with some range) it was not discovered.
