Talk:Whirlwind Tour
speed retcon?
Random guess - at least one <30h retcon run? Although the text mentions 'one particularly short set of journal entries'...which might mean something more specific Kurg
- Going through the fastest retcon boards, Jesus has the badge and his fastest run is 31h 25m. So lets check 32h first... --Blackmatter615 07:27, 21 February 2011 (PST)
Maybe doing every single quest (including B-Class ones)? --CorruptShadow 06:32, 21 February 2011 (PST)
- Might be now awarded retroactively - I just read about the badge, went to the training room, and received it. I didn't do the B-quests on last run, and as far as I can say I never did them all in one run. My fastest run is 23h 41m 9s, not especially fast. --Muhandes 07:23, 21 February 2011 (PST)
- I just got it yesterday, so if it was something I'd just qualified for, it had to come between Levels 7 and 8. All the journal-y stuff I did between those times -- unlocked the Zion's Tears building, A Familiar Figure, Demiurge defeated in around an hour and 18 minutes from the first thing to the last. I don't know it it tracks stuff from earlier runs, but that particular sequence seems pretty quick to me. I guess the badge could be set up by holding off on John Steele, counsel Harry, and the Bard... and if they weren't enough, wait to do each of those until immediately after finishing a fourth quest. --Jesus 23:08, 21 February 2011 (PST)
Just got it as well and my fastest run is only 52h 49m 0s. --Zicon 02:22, 22 February 2011 (PST)
I haven't done my retcon in quite a while (18 days back in Nov 2010). I just went to the guild today and I qualify for this badge. This is likely something that was tracked before, and is awarding badges now. What it could be I have no idea. VERY casual player.--Top1214 17:44, 22 February 2011 (PST)
It's based on something that was tracked. It was only recently activated, so it can be for historical actions. Cristiona
- Saying that it is tracked is like saying Carmen Sandiego is somewhere in the world. Is it openly tracked (i.e. can a player view it in profile/journal) or is it hiddenly tracked, like resting time and ending battle hp? --Blackmatter615 13:36, 22 March 2011 (PDT)
I will be completing the following quests tomorrow. We'll see if anything happens for beating that many quests in one day (--CorruptShadow 20:44, 28 March 2011 (PDT)):
- C.H.I.P.S. (Casino Heroes Investigate Purported Scandal)
- Go Fish
- Don't Cry for Me, Zion-tina
- Trouble in the Wasteland
- Go Fish, Again
- All the World's a Quest, and All the Men and Women Merely Heroes
- Through the Dimensional Rabbit-Hole
Nope. Nothing. Has to be speed-runs. "...so few hours...". --CorruptShadow 06:19, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
- No way it is the speed of the run alone. Just look at Zicon's statement above, with a 52 hour run netting it for him. --Blackmatter615 07:11, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
- You can't entirely get rid of the idea of speed runs cause if you actually look at Zicon's retcon history his original continuity was recrded as 19h 32m 30s --Zillow--
- Under 20 hrs maybe? --CorruptShadow 08:41, 30 March 2011 (PDT)
