Like Muscle Beach Without the Beach

The rooftops are far worse than you'd imagined. It looks like a war zone up here. There's still a little of the old activity, heroes and villains playing at something that's half combat and half super-tag, but it's only in small pockets. The entire rest of the area is aswarm with hulking figures jumping, swinging, perching, prying, bending, and smashing nearly everything in sight, like a swarm of human gorillas unleashed on a day-care playground.

You have to dive flat as a piece of shrapnel about the size of a small car--actually, it is a small car--smashes into the stone beside you. A giant man nearly half again as large as most of the other already oversize villains is perched atop a nearby bank building. (Formerly Central Trust, the T burned out long ago and it's been "Central Rust" ever since.) He chuckles as you dust yourself off but disappears into the night before you can gather yourself for a pursuit.

In the meantime it's not as if there's a dearth of other guys to track down and bring to justice. Guess it's time to start cracking heads.
