From Twilight Heroes Wiki
Frusion enemies are special enemies that currently exist only in Hyde Park streets. While the streets are no longer accessible, Ryme said they are going to return.
- You must equip an EEK meter to fight them.
- They feed on PP rather than HP.
- The chance of meeting one of these foes with more than 99 PP is low, but it is still possible. In most cases, however, you get a non-combat adventure instead.
- When a frusion enemy drains you out of PP the fight ends with the following message:
- Your opponent finishes off every last bit of energy you possess. You still feel okay, but the frusion creature doesn't seem to have any more interest in you, and fades away. You're going to have to keep your energy levels up if you want to keep the attention of the frusion creatures long enough to defeat them.
- The fight is now over, and it's not pretty.
- Critical hits are preceded with "Critical hit!", and take double the PP.
- As these foes are immune to all damage, they only take 1 damage from each damage type. Known exceptions, and cases where there is a special message accompanied, are detailed below.
- Sidekicks cannot attack or block frusion enemies. Instead you get the message:
- Your sidekick can't see your opponent, and just tries to stay out of the way.
- In addition to doing only 1 damage from each damage type, most Combat Items have limited effects. Unless otherwise specified they are consumed in vein.
- deja voodoo doll and bungee lasso do not work, but are not consumed.
- red-eye mind trick doesn't work, and is not consumed. The message is:
- You wave the red eye around, but the mind trick doesn't seem to work. Maybe it's a Toydarian.
- holiday wreath and holiday wreath (regifted) stun a single round, showing the message:
- You spin around like an Olympic discus thrower and fling the wreath at your opponent, but it just passes through them.
- magic deck of cards stuns for a single round.
- rank bun does 1 damage, but does not stun. You get the message:
- You grab the most convenient item you can find and hurl it at the opponent. Turns out you grabbed the rank bun, and it splats directly into your opponent's face. Your opponent is inconvenienced, to the tune of 1 damage.
- glob of goo fails with the message:
- You throw the glob of goo at your opponent, but miss.
- squidopus ink stuns for one round instead of the usual effect. You get the message:
- You whip out a pouch of squidopus ink and squirt it into your opponent's eyes, but it passes through harmlessly.
- webbed sand fails with the message:
- You lob the clump of sand at your opponent. The chunk of sand bursts and sprays everywhere, but doesn't do much.
- sleet bucket does 1 damage, but does not have a special effect. The message is similarity truncated:
- You splash your opponent with a bucket full of sleet-water, dealing 1 points shivery damage.
- drowsing rod never stuns.
- Justin's magic wand fails with the message:
- A flick of the wrist causes a beam of strange energy to zap your opponent, but it doesn't seem to have an effect.
- Using throwing star - blue giant in combat does 2 damage in cases where the double damage triggers.
- Strike-back damage is also reduced to one, with special message:
- Your opponent seems slightly put off by your defenses, and takes 1 damage.
- Psion skills are less effective:
- Mind Jab does only 2 damage with a message:
- You jab out at your opponent with your mind. There's not much you can reach, and you only deal 2 damage.
- Psionic Blast does only 3-4 damage with a message:
- You send out a pulse of mental anguish, which mostly washes past your opponent, only dealing 3-4 damage.
- Likewise, Elemental skills are limited:
- Throw Sparks does only 2-3 damage with a message:
- You throw a handful of sparks at your opponent. The sparks don't seem to react with the creature normally, and only do 2-3 damage.
- Ice Bolt does only 2-4 damage with a message:
- You blast your opponent with an ice bolt, but the ice and frusion don't really interact all that much. It does 2-4 damage.
- Groundquake results in the message:
- You tap into the earth beneath your opponent's feet and cause it to shake vigorously. Your opponent appears unfazed.
- Lightning Bolt does only 3-5 damage with a message:
- Lightning arcs from your hands through the air, but it sort of whooshes through your opponent instead of doing the normal sizzling and frying. It deals maybe 3-5 damage.
- Tornado results in the message:
- You summon a violent miniature tornado, but it whirls around harmlessly.
- Firestorm does only 3-6 damage with a message:
- You'd think a torrential rain of fire might do something more than slightly singe your opponent, but no. Your enemy takes 3-6 damage.
- Gadgeteer skills are crippled as well:
- Stun Gas results in the message:
- You spray your opponent with some home-made stun gas, which does little to nothing.
- Electric Net does only 2-4 damage with a message:
- You fling an electrified net on your foe. It completely fails at tangling, but you think the electric part maybe did 2-4 damage.
- Shock Grenade does only 3-4 damage with a message:
- You toss a home-made shock grenade at your foe. BOOM! Honestly, it's more noise than effect. Your opponent takes 3-4 damage.
- Naturalist attacks are also ineffective. Instead, you get a regular hit attempt, with a special message
- For Charge of the Bovine:
- With a bellowing moo you charge your opponent, but it's unimpressed.
- For Trample of the Rhino:
- Channeling the spirit of the rhinoceros you charge your opponent with the intention of trampling it underfoot, but trampling isn't very effective against pure energy.
- With all the power of a titanic, prehistoric bear, you maul your opponent ... which of course means your weapon passes through with minimal effect.
