Burning Down the House

From Twilight Heroes Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Fortunately the house on fire, utterly ignored by the firefighters sitting nearby, was scheduled to be demolished and purchased by Hero Dash. Unfortunately, there's a dummy "citizen" in there they want you to go rescue.

If you've selected Hose it down but not Vent some smoke:

It's N degrees cooler than when you got here.

If you've selected Vent some smoke but not Hose it down:

It has M holes in the roof for ventilation.

If you've selected both Hose it down and Vent some smoke:

It's N degrees cooler and has M holes in the roof for ventilation.

Options:

  • Hose it down
  • Vent some smoke
  • Rush in
  • We don't need no water

If you chose Hose it down:

We Do Need Some Water, Actually
You know it's not actually a house on fire and the Twilight Division of Fire shouldn't be interfering with the Hero Dash, but it's really against the hero code to just leave a house to burn, right?

If you have a Water sprite companion:

You and your water sprite soak the house, dissipating a ton of the heat.

  • Cools by 3 degrees
If you know Summon Water Sprite, but don't have a Water sprite companion:

You kind of wish you had your water sprite as you spray down the house, but every bit helps.

  • Cools by 1 degree
Otherwise:

You wish you had a little help, but you manage to hose down the house and fight back a bit of the heat

  • Cools by 1 degree

If you chose Vent some smoke:

Additional Ventilation
Since smoke is hotter than air, you're pretty sure it float and, if you needed to ventilate some smoke out of a house, it stands to reason you'd need to put some holes in the roof. Right?

I mean, if they wanted people who knew how to fight fires fighting this thing, they'd have called the Twilight Division of Fire.

If you have a ranged weapon equipped and at least 5 extra attacks:

You make a volley of attacks with your <ranged weapon> and ventilate the roof, releasing a massive plume of the smoke. Hopefully the inside's better.

  • Makes 3 holes in the roof
If you have a ranged weapon equipped and at least 3 but less than 5 extra attacks:

You make a few attacks with the <ranged weapon> and ventilate the roof, releasing a plume of the smoke. Hopefully the inside's better.

  • Makes 2 holes in the roof
If you have a ranged weapon equipped and less than 3 extra attacks:

You make an attack with your <ranged weapon> and ventilate the roof, releasing a trickle of smoke.

  • Makes 1 hole in the roof
Otherwise:

You throw a rock and ventilate the roof, releasing a trickle of smoke.

  • Makes 1 hole in the roof

And then, if your League has defeated the boss:

You call in a little support from back on your League's roof too, adding a few extra shots for ventilation.

  • Makes an additional 1 hole in the roof

If you chose Rush in:

Where Worthingtons Fear to Tread
You run full out into the house.

If you are wearing a gas mask or steam mask:

You find the dummy, then haul it through X damage of the fire and Y damage of thankfully-less-choking smoke.

Otherwise:

You grab the dummy, then haul it through X damage of the fire and Y damage of choking smoke.

If you are defeated:

But that's all you have in you.
