I'm not 100% sure of this, and I can no longer check it since I have all the software discs, so I'm writing it here for someone to verify: as far as I recall the first time you create a piece of software that can run on your computer it is automatically added as a software option in the hideout Computer Lab, and the disc itself disappears. When you create more of the same software discs, these appear in your inventory. Is this correct? --Muhandes 00:52, 2 November 2008 (MST)

  • Incorrect. Software goes to your inventory and must be used to be installed. Cristiona

Software Curfew?

While spading some repetitious adventures, I decided to record how often my software (LookOut and ASX) triggered. After a while, I noticed neither had triggered for over 25 turns. Is it possible that software stops functioning after a certain time of day, or after a certain number of triggers per day? I had 6 ASX events and 1 LookOut event before nothing happened for the rest of the day. My day ended at 2:21 AM, and my turns last 4.33min, so I know I got a trigger after 12:00 AM...unless I rested for more than 40 minutes...could someone look into this? I'll keep recording data. It's random so it may be inconsistent, but you'll get hits all day long (If RNG decides you're worthy!). I have noticed that your computers almost seem to activate more when in lower areas, but that may be because I'm paying more attention or turns are a little faster.--Reaper 10:36, 18 November 2008 (MST)

  • Yeah, after a bit more data gathering I concluded that the RNG was just being an arsehole. Still, there might be unknown modifiers to this. Rykar 01:38, 19 November 2008 (MST)

Just a thought

For fluidity I'm thinking about moving the content to a new page that would also have computers and computer modifiers and redirecting this page to it, it would save time/space by putting all 3 things in one spot. let me know what you guys think.--Reaper 10:50, 18 November 2008 (MST)

  • It could make the article a little long, but there is a lot of repeated information, with minor differences among all of the articles. I can see where you are going with this. Rykar 01:28, 19 November 2008 (MST)
