wakizashi
Plural: wakizashis
The wakizashi is the companion sword to the katana. Built with the exact same standards, it is shorter than its mate. Generally used to finish fallen foes or to commit ritual suicide, it can also be dual wielded to turn you into an awesome reincarnation of Miyamoto Musashi.
