prevents serious injuries: whats that mean? stop enemy critical hits or no beat up debuffs or something? — Preceding unsigned comment added by The Gannet

  • When I was beaten up by a Rock'em bot, I got this message: Without your protective gear that would have been a really bad beating. Not that this was a good beating mind you, but it could have been worse. Sanjuro 17:46, 19 March 2012 (PDT)
  • Yep, i noticed a while ago in my alts, that a message like that shows up when a bad effect is prevented. I think that it also prevents the lost of XP, but I suppose that and aditional time losses need to be spaded. --Patojonas 08:52, 20 March 2012 (PDT)

Looks like this hat also has some interaction with critical hits. I received the following text in addition to the PP recovery message from my kilt:

You attack ... leading off with the Nutcracker's signature headbutt, you daze your foe ...
You attack ... charging in hat first, you confuse your foe beyond words ...

I initially though it could stun but after some testing I never observed any stunning. The next best guess I have is that it carries some sort of deleveling effect. --Valmo 14:07, 24 December 2011 (PST)

Item drop chances spadings

From a total of 1569 adventures I got 438 items:

  • 34 candied
  • 30 chockfullo
  • 50 roasting
  • 55 water
  • 64 wallnut
  • 205 shells

Firing chance: (27.9% ± 2.3%)

When item drops chances are:

  • candied (7.8% ± 2.6%)
  • chockfullo (6.8% ± 2.4%)
  • roasting (11.4% ± 3%)
  • water (12.6% ± 3.2%)
  • wallnut (14.6% ± 3.4%)
  • shells (46.8% ± 4.8%)

Based on this experimental data I'd say the firing rate is 30%.
Also, based on the proportions for the amounts on my main who has hundreds of each I'd say that when it fires, the real chances are:

  • 8% candied
  • 8% chockfullo
  • 12% roasting
  • 12% water
  • 15% wallnut
  • 45% shells

Please let me know if you agree with these assumptions (or if you can confirm them :P) so I can add it to the page. --Patojonas 10:31, 16 May 2012 (PDT)

Since wallnut superiority didn't please some parties (me included), new data was acquired:

From a total of 1187 drops (from 5 different accounts):

  • 91 candied (7.7% ± 1.5%)
  • 87 chockfullo (7.3% ± 1.5%)
  • 169 roasting (14.2% ± 2%)
  • 153 water (12.9% ± 1.9%)
  • 172 wallnut (14.5% ± 2%)
  • 515 shells (43.4% ± 2.9%)

Based on this, the real values are more likely to be:

  • 8% candied
  • 8% chockfullo
  • 13% roasting
  • 13% water
  • 13% wallnut
  • 45% shells

With the firing rate at 30% as it was estimated before. Let me know of there's any objection to these, otherwise I'll add it to the main page --Patojonas 18:11, 29 May 2012 (PDT)
