* I didn't mention my run length and when I ended it last time, my bad. Anyway, my run lasted 17 days and ended on the last day of the month, so the degree probably has something to do with "sticking around" past a set number days and talking to Susan just before the month ends.

As for the bungee I am not so sure, from the message I think it's with having joined the heirloom derby more than 3 times? :I consistently got the bungee with five or six derby runs in one month. I did get a humvee on an alt with just one run in total, but that run also won highest mettle (epee) and fastest (frisbee). Humvee might simply be for winning multiple best/runnerup mettle/speed categories. I think the secret behind the degree is simply getting to level 12, regardless of how long it takes. I've gotten the degree on 4 and 5 day runs that way. --[[User:Penguinpyro|Penguinpyro]] ([[User talk:Penguinpyro|talk]]) 17:54, 2 June 2020 (PDT)

* I did get the humvee after winning the mettlest and fastest run on the mayday bell, so that tracks. Did you finish those degree runs on the last day of the month or did the day not matter? I've gotten past level 12 on a derby run on my main account a couple of times but didn't get the degree after the first time. Maybe you can only get it once per account? * Two months ago I did a 7-day heirloom run, delaying until I got to level 12. No degree. Last month I did a 26-day run, ending on the 29th of the month. I did get the degree that time. This makes me think that the number of days taken in heirloom runs (I don't know if one run or several) is the determining factor, and not character level or ending date. Maybe it's for the one derby participant who had the longest run, or the most total time in one or more heirloom runs?  Also, I suspect the bungee is the reward for completing the most heirloom runs in a month. * I just did 7 back-to-back heirloom runs, taking a total of 29 days. No degree, so that can't be earned by multiple runs. It's probably for a single run that takes a certain number of days, or for the player with the longest run. Incidentally, I also got a filigree. I believe the receipt message hints that it is for the player who earned the most mettle. BTW, I earned 63 mettle. I also got a bungee. Okay, I cleaned house in the heirloom derby. So, for the sake of documentation:

(1 frisbee, 2 coatees, 1 epee, 1 levee, 1 humvee, 1 bungee, 1 filigree) - seven kinds of prize- this jives with the number of prizes previously in rotation (also seven)

ye olde frisbee

Back before cheap modern plastic frisbees, they were cherished and passed from generation to generation. And now it's reached your hands... hands that are now covered in toffee residue from handling it.

Well, that explains the mystery of ye olde frisbee construction techniques.

Heirloom Derby Speed Winner Reward

Ranged weapon (Archaic blunt) Power: 50 Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +1 extra ranged attack(s) per turn Better the longer it's been in the family --

ye olde coatee

Presumably old coats are just coates, because this coat is older than old. But it comes from a long and proud martial tradition, so maybe some of that will run off on you.

Heirloom Derby Speed Runner Up Reward

Shirt Power: 50 Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +2 weapon damage (ranged or melee) Better the longer it's been in the family

--

ye olde epee

An epee is a fancy sword for fencing that has nothing to do with your gaming prowess. It's of like a rapier, but less witty.

Heirloom Derby Mettle Winner Reward

Melee weapon (Piercing) Power: 50 Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +10% offense No weapon fumbles, ever. Better the longer it's been in the family

--

ye olde levee

Although not properly a berm of earth for holding back waters, this is a barrier of a different kind. And it can technically hold back water, along with all sorts of other things. Like electricity and self-doubt and that noise the kids call music these days.

Heirloom Derby Mettle Runner Up Reward

Offhand Item Power: 10 Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +3% resistance to all elements Better the longer it's been in the family

--

ye olde humvee

This ancient military vehicle is certain not to inspire a short-lived fashion craze. But it's pretty well armored, so you're unlikely to run into too many problems while you're driving it around.

Heirloom Derby Secret Reward

Transportation Range: 3 Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +1 damage absorption Better the longer it's been in the family

--

ye olde bungee

Man, do you remember attaching the canoe to the top of the car and heading out into the woods with your parents? Yeah, me either, but this bungee cord is great for bringing things back and, perhaps more importantly, not snapping under any circumstances.

Heirloom Derby Secret Reward

Miscellaneous Item Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold Combat Usable Better the longer it's been in the family

--

ye olde filigree

When you need to make an object fancy, look no further than filigree. Fancy house? Filigree. Fancy sword? Filigree. Fancy book? Filigree. Fancy hero?

Heirloom Derby Secret Reward

Accessory Item cannot be traded or sold Item cannot be auto-sold +3% chips Better the longer it's been in the family

First time doing the derby last month, got the degree. I'll use it when I'm through with my current run. Not sure how I triggered it, if it helps I did an 18 mettle run without caffeine, sugar and the sidekick.

Hey, future self, we stuck around long enough to graduate this month and our understudy was super excited to show off the diploma. Included item: ye olde degree (quantity 1)
