When Used in Combat

Usually:

You throw the glob of goo at your opponent. Rather, you make some swinging motion with your arm in that general direction, and the icky green stuff splatters everywhere in such a way that slightly more than average ends up on your opponent, and slightly less than average ends up on you. Your opponent seems to be hindered a bit.

In Staked Tundra, during Through the Dimensional Rabbit-Hole, first time per fight it's used:

Your attempt to spray the goo around causes a couple of the nearby monsters to become bogged down, and natural tendencies among the predators quickly take care of some of the crowdedness.

or when you have already cleared enough of the monsters:

You try to fling some goo at your opponent, but the sticky, messy stuff gets everywhere. Surprisingly the space around the portal is getting pretty empty, so a little goo ends up on your opponent but doesn't hit anything else but dirt.
