candy cane (regifted)
Plural: candy canes (regifted)
There's an interesting story circulating around the internet about how the candy cane came to be, and the symbolism behind it. I can't speak for the veracity of it, but I can tell you that this is a tasty piece of candy. And before you ask, it's peppermint. The other flavors are garbage. When you absolutely positively need a proper holiday treat, accept no substitutions.
This particular candy cane was given to you by your dear and close friend, um, you know what? You can't remember. Still, it was a nice gift.
