It seems that equipping the Night Mare as transportation is also sufficient to trigger the quest. I'd put my money on pegasi, armored pegasi, Red Hex and the "horse" item doing something as well. --Penguinpyro 23:53, 3 February 2012 (PST)

Confirmend that the quest can be initiated with just an armored pegasus as transportation (no coconuts dropped yet). --XKiv 07:32, 15 February 2012 (PST)

A horse and pegasus can also start this. Also, the squire message most probably wont show up without the squire (it didn't with a horse or pegasus). --hoyifung04 16:06, 15 February 2012 (PST)
