Talk:Paint-splattered cap

start of fight:

A line of red paint connects you to the <foe>. Unfortunately for them, it's less like the red string of fate and more like the red line of a laser sight.
You paint a little black bandit mask on yourself. Apparently that means you can steal points now. Who knew? (+10%? weapon damage returned as HP and PP)
You paint a soothing aquamarine landscape. You could just take a nap right now... shame the <foe> keeps trying to make you move. (heals HP and PP if you run away)

Not just running Cristiona (talk)

You try to paint a nice forest, but it ends up looking like broken green glass. Well, at least that should keep the <foe> away. ( +20 strike-back damage)
You slosh violet paint around everywhere. It... doesn't really bother you much, but it seems to drive the casino elite guard crazy. (+10 psychic damage on weapon attack, need to for lower levels)
The only paints you can find are avocado green and chocolate brown. Looks like things are going to get a little funky around here. (-3PP cost for skills)
You get a splash of jade paint on the ground. It looks like a tree or a tornado or a firestorm or something. It's all up to your imagination. (adds Imagination!, or Critical Imagination! in case of critical hit before the usual class spell messages(only elemental and psion tested), damage is double the usual to that same foe )

end of fight:

Well, that red line is probably less useful now that your foe is down for the count. (if foe died after you using a fire spell/item, damage was the usual, dunno what was the benefit if any)
You stop to contemplate the jade paint for a while, since that fight wasn't too imaginative. (doesn't show when you got Imagination! from your skill use, unknown effect if any)
That landscape was really calming, but your rest got interrupted because you had to fight your jerk enemies. Jerks. if you decide to run away, it'll be replaced by:

You exercise the option to return and fight another day. You rest up in the soothing ambiance of your landscape, regaining 45 HP and 45 PP. (got these values for a level 90 and 74 alts, need to check for lower levels)

  • red line "less useful" aftercombat line shows for me on any spell (for example, psychic blast, lightning bolt, icebolt ...) - hypothesis; it's +to hit
    • actually, after today I think it just forces a critical hit on the next attack (only tested with vanilla attack; I meant to also test with maul, but didn't notice early enough) --XKiv (talk) 18:17, 5 April 2013 (PDT)
  • jade paint seems to work only once per combat (i.e. on the first spell cast), unlike jade torch - also, I imagine the effect is the same as jade torch's, so not "double damage" but "+1 to multiplier" (vanilla critical=*2, vanilla imagination=*2, critical imagination=*3 (not *4))
  • I didn't test whether aquamarine landscape also heals when I get beaten up
